Frill Free Phones is part of AbleComm, a family-owned company, in business since 1977.

 

We're based in Milford, CT, about 60 miles northeast of New York City.

Milford is a beautiful old New England town, with miles of beaches, good shopping, good eating, plus the headquarters of AbleComm, Bic, Schick and Subway. (Actually, Bic moved across the river to Shelton in 2008, but a Bic lighter factory is still here in Milford.)

 

We specialize in helping do-it-yourselfers. We ship worldwide, from multiple locations. Tech support is both free and unlimited for products bought from us. Our customers range from students, entrepreneurs and professionals, to "Fortune 500" companies, educational institutions and government agencies.

 

We provide phone system installation and service in CT, and can recommend installers in some other areas.

 

We have multiple websites, a huge range of products, and friendly, free help. Our people are experts, with years of experience installing and using most of the products we sell. If we don't have the information you need, we'll try to get it.

 

We're open from 9am until 6pm, Eastern Time, Monday though Thursday. On Friday, we close at 5.

 

Most orders get FREE SHIPPING, anywhere in the USA—even to Alaska and Hawaii. 98% of orders are shipped the same day they are placed (not including orders placed on weekends and holidays, or custom-made items).

 

We've been in business for over 40 years and we became the biggest Panasonic phone system dealer in the world. We also sell other fine brands. We're known for good advice, good prices and great phones.

If you ask us for tracking information and it turns out that you have already received the package, we will charge you $10,000. (We're just kidding, but PLEASE ask the people you work with or live with before you assume a package is late or lost.)

international sales

  • We can ship to most countries, either directly or via a freight-forwarder in the US.

  • Due to frequent fraudulent orders and problems with customs, we reserve the right to refuse orders to certain countries. If you are in Indonesia, Nigeria, Singapore or Russia, don't order.

  • Our products are designed for 110 Volts AC, and we can't guarantee that they meet the technical or legal requirements for any country other than the United States. Items shipped outside the United States are subject to manufacturers' warranties only. They may not be sent back to us for return or exchange. The only exception is if an incorrect item is shipped. Shipments to manufacturer's service centers are at customer's expense. This statement supersedes all domestic return policies.

  • If you plan to visit the USA, we can usually arrange to have a shipment waiting for you when you arrive at your destination.

  • If we ship to you outside the USA, you are responsible for all customs/duties/taxes in your country. You must provide any forms necessary other than the commercial invoice enclosed in you shipment. 

  • If you order something and it is blocked by customs in your country, or can not be delivered to you, or you refuse delivery, we will not refund the shipping charges to you, and we will charge you for return shipping to us plus any customs fees and storage fees incurred.

  • International orders are sent by FedEx, except for APO and FPO addresses that can receive Priority Mail and Express Mail shipments.

shipping times & charges

PLEASE read this section to avoid misunderstandings.

  • Most items get FREE "ground" shipping in the USA (all 50 states, up to 6 business days, but usually 2 or 3 days.)

  • We generally use USPS Priority Mail for free shipping to AK and HI, which can take from 3 to 10 days.

  • Faster shipping is available at an extra charge. If you need faster shipping, or shipping to an address outside the USA, please call 1.203.878.8383 or send email to abmailbox321 (at) gmail.com

  • If you order an item that normally has free shipping, but you want a shipping method other than "ground," there will be a charge for shipping.

  • Shipping is NOT FREE outside the USA. 

 

IMPORTANT INFO ABOUT SHIPPING TIME ("transit days")

  • Shipping time does not include the day you place your order.

  • If you order a customized product, the shipping time starts once the product has been manufactured.

  • Quoted shipping times are based on "business days," and do not include weekends and many holidays.

  • For example, if you place an order on Friday for "3-Day" shipping, and the following Monday is a national holiday, the first transit day is Tuesday, the second transit day is Wednesday, and you should receive your order on Thursday--the third transit day.

  • If you place an order after about 4pm Eastern Time on Friday, there is a chance that it might get shipped on Friday; but it probably won't be shipped until the next business day--which would be Tuesday if Monday is a holiday.

  • If you need something shipped quickly, CALL us at 1.203.878.8383--Don't order online.

  • If you can't find what you need or just want to talk to a human being, please call us toll-free at 1.203.878.8383. You can also reach us by fax, email or snailmail. Our mailing address is at the bottom-left on each page.

  • We're open from 8am to 6pm, Eastern Time (5am to 3pm Pacific time) Monday through Thursday. We close at 5pm on Friday.

  • Orders received by 3pm Eastern Time are generally shipped the same day. If you need same-day shipping and are ordering close to our deadline time, it's better to call us instead of ordering online. We can often accept orders for same day shipping as late as 5pm Eastern. Call us and we'll do our best for you.

  • Nothing is shipped on weekends. If you place an order after 3 Eastern Time Friday afternoon, for "next business day" delivery, you will probably get it on Tuesday, not Monday.

  • This site features secure online ordering, available all day, every day. If you don't want to order online, you can call us or send a fax or email.

  • We accept major credit cards, and also accept payment by check (payable to "AbleComm") or wire transfer before shipping. 

  • We do NOT ship COD.

  • We DO accept PayPal.

  • Some product photographs are not exact, but are pretty close.

  • We have no minimum order for this site.

  • We collect sales tax only on shipments to CT. 

  • You should receive an ORDER CONFIRMATION after placing an online order. This confirmation is sent to you automatically by Wix, the company that hosts this site, to confirm that your order has been received. It does NOT include additional charges for shipping or taxes that MAY be added when we process your order, and does NOT guarantee that the items you selected are in stock for immediate shipping.

  • Most items are available for immediate shipment. You can call us at 1.203.878.8383 to confirm availability. 

  • We sometimes show items on this site before they are available, to help you plan future purchases. The availability dates are based on information we've received from the manufacturer, but we can not guarantee the date. If you order an item before it is available, we will not charge your credit card until we are ready to ship your order.

  • Some items are sent to you directly from us, others are shipped by distributors and manufacturers. We try to ship from locations close to our customers.

  • We use a variety of carriers, including UPS, USPS and FedEx.

  • We will not use your shipping account, or a third party's account.

  • Saturday delivery is usually available, at an additional charge.

  • On a few items, we will charge you for shipping unless ordered with another item, as noted in the product descriptions.

  • If you are unsure about what you are ordering, please talk to us before ordering. We want you to buy the right thing.

  • We work hard to make this site as accurate as possible, and we guarantee that there will be occasional misteaks. We welcome your corrections.

 

returns - replacements - refunds

If you are unsure about what you are ordering, please talk to us before ordering. We want you to buy the right thing.

  • If you cancel a credit card order after we have submitted the sale with our point-of-sale terminal, before it is shipped, there will be a 10% administrative fee (minimum $10, effective May 1, 2005).

  • If you cancel before we submit the sale, there is no fee. If you change your mind about an order, call us quickly at 1.203.878.8383.

  • If you cancel, return or refuse an item that has been shipped, there will be a 15% restocking fee (minimum $10, effective May 1, 2005). There is no fee for returning or refusing an item that we shipped in error, or for returning a defective item. Returns must be sent to us within 14 days of receipt. Call us for a Return Authorization Number. Certain expensive items are not returnable, except for exchanges of defective items, or items shipped in error.

  • Shipping charges are not refundable, except for items sent in error.

  • If you return something in less-than-perfect condition, additional fees will apply. Please be careful not to damage the carton when you open it, and retain the carton and all packing materials until you are sure you are keeping the item. If you are returning an item for exchange or refund, it must be returned in new "saleable" condition, with complete packaging materials (bags, wire ties, etc.). Please do not put tape or labels on the manufacturer's carton. Please put it inside another protective carton with suitable padding, and securely tape the outer carton. Make sure you enclose a note so we will know who is retuning the item and why it is being returned. Returns are usually credited on Fridays. If you return something in less-than-perfect condition, additional fees will apply.

  • All products are guaranteed by their manufacturers. Any item found to be defective within two weeks of receipt, may be exchanged through us, or returned to the manufacturer for repair or replacement under the manufacturer's warranty.

  • Custom-made, made-to-order or customized phones are NOT returnable for refund. They may be returned for exchange or repair if initially defective, or if we ship the wrong item. Please discuss this with us before ordering if you are unsure.

  • After two weeks, all repairs or replacements are handled directly by the manufacturer. If you have any trouble getting service from a manufacturer, we will do our best to help you receive a satisfactory solution. The vast majority of trouble is caused by someone doing something wrong, not by a defect. Please call us before returning anything.

  • We may be able to provide advance replacements of defective items. To get an advance replacement, we will charge your credit card account for the price of the replacement, and cancel the charge when the original item is returned.

We are pleased to provide our products to all local, state and federal government agencies and the military services, in the US and overseas.

We do not extend credit terms. Even the Pentagon and White House use credit cards. You can also pay with a check in advance.
